Recover tokens after a hacked MetaMask wallet

Unauthorized transactions usually mean the Secret Recovery Phrase is burned. You cannot “reset” that wallet. You can still race for leftover tokens if a sweeper has not taken them yet.

Immediate actions

Create a brand-new wallet on a clean browser profile or hardware wallet.
Never reuse the old seed.
List remaining ERC-20 / NFT balances on a block explorer.
Do not top up the hacked address for gas.

Rescue path

Use an EIP-7702 tool such as Rescue Desk: sponsor wallet pays gas; compromised key only signs authorization; tokens land on your new receive address (minus the 20% success fee).

What cannot be recovered

Assets already transferred to the attacker cannot be reversed on-chain. Anyone promising to “hack back” stolen funds is a secondary scam.
